From MJoTA
Publisher, who was Managing Editor of New York Echo (started 28
November 2008) from March to June 2009, and after a hiatus, returned to
that position in December 2009 until the demise of New York Echo in May 2010. Dr Dodgson was the sole graphic designer on
Africa Reporters print newspaper from September to November 2009.
"I saw and
photographed the delight on the faces of Africans, African Americans
and African Caribbeans who were so happy to have their voice heard. I
put my heart and soul into keeping the newspapers breathing and will continue to work towards supporting publication of
Black community newspapers. Because voices need to be heard. And voices
need to belong to healthy bodies."
If you know
about a black community newspaper anywhere, please tell us and we will
link to it here. Send information about who publishes it, where it is
published, how it is published (online, print, newspaper, glossy), how
often it is published (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually),
whether it takes advertising, to publisher@mjota.org.

Other independent black community papers are African Sun Times and Africa Abroad, and independent Caribbean community newspapers are Liberty Star. MJoTA Publisher knows the Publishers, knows how hard-working and decent they are, and recommends supporting all the black community newspapers through paid subscriptions and advertising.
